JACKSON, Wyo. — Sage Living, a new residential senior care facility located in Jackson, Wyoming, is nearing completion and the St. John’s Health Foundation is requesting artist submissions for original, currently available artworks to help bring the building alive.
Artists living in Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and Montana are invited to apply from September 14th through October 23, 2020; visit callforentry.org for full submission details and to apply.
Original paintings, as well as limited edition photographs and prints, will be selected for the residential and gathering spaces of Sage Living. The artworks should be representational in nature, to contribute to a stimulating and imaginative atmosphere that supports creative engagement between residents, staff, and visitors. Artists are invited to submit up to 6 existing works of art, ranging in size from small (8”x10”) to medium (18” x 24”), to large (4’x6’), with prices between $500 and $5,500.
Artworks will be grouped thematically to respond to neighborhood names using color and visual imagery to create a unique identity for each section of the Sage Living facility. The volunteer art committee, assembled by St. Johns Health Foundation with the support of JH Public Art, has determined selection criteria, including specific “Evidence-Based Art Selection” points that will serve as general guidelines.
All criteria can be found on the application site, callforentry.org. There will be a virtual information session on Wednesday, September 23, at 4 p.m. with information available via JH Public Art’s website.
