Katy Perry thanked first responders after a gas leak on the set of “American Idol” caused the star to collapse.
In a show of her appreciation Perry, 35, took to Twitter on Sunday writing — “Big shout out to all of our first responders around the country.” “Thanks for risking your lives every day…and 🎶 all night long 🎶 #AmericanIdol 🙏🏻”
In a video posted to Twitter, Perry can be seen dancing with the first responders that came to her aid. “These guys, they saved the future of ‘American Idol,’ and our lives,” Perry notes before presenting them with golden tickets. “Thank you!”
But Perry didn’t stop there. The “Dark Horse” singer then posted a tongue-in-cheek video to her Instagram in which she can be seen on the ground surrounded by first responders before texting on her phone. “Me alerting the group chat about drama in real-time 🤳🏻,” she captioned the video.
As Page Six previously reported, ABC show’s judges Luke Bryan, 43 Lionel Richie, 70, and Perry were told to evacuate because of a gas leak. In a video posted on People magazine, Perry is seen complaining of a headache before falling to the floor as EMTs arrived.
Following her collapse, Perry alerted fans that she was doing just fine.
“For everyone checking in on me today…DON’T WORRY, I’m just falling for even more 🌟 talent on the next episode of @americanidol,” she wrote on Instagram.
