PEBBLE BEACH — The team of Sydney Craven, a Stevenson School senior, and Tim Petrovic won the Pro-Junior division (team net best ball) at the Pure Insurance Open this weekend, shooting 26-under. Craven was representing the Monterey Chapter of the First Tee.
K.J. Choi won the PGA Tour Champions portion of the tournament, shooting a three-day total of 8-under-par with one round at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and two at Pebble Beach Golf Links . He started the final round Sunday at Pebble Beach with a two-stroke lead, carded six birdies to post a 31 on the front before a bogey at the par-5 No. 14 – his first in 39 holes – and finishing with a 4-under 68.
