DC: 10 Villains Who Are Pure Evil & Have Never Done A Single Good Thing - CBR - Comic Book Resources

mixdes.blogspot.com

DC is just as known for its villains as it is for its heroes. Many of them have been household names for decades, with these dangerous and intimidating antagonists becoming true icons of the villain world. The great thing about DC's villains is how different they are. Some are masterminds, some are henchmen, and some are sympathetic. There are some, though, who are just pure evil. There is nothing redeemable about them and they exist for the purpose of doing evil.

These villains have never tried to live any other life. They don't want to be good and have never done anything good in their existence. They are villainous paragons, sure in their monstrous evil.

10 Johnny Sorrow Is The Servant Of Eldritch Gods

Johnny Sorrow

Johnny Sorrow was a star of silent movies when the talkies took over. Stealing a machine that would allow him to phase through matter, he encountered the Justice Society. Their defeat of him caused the machine to malfunction, sending him into the Subtle Realms. There, he became the servant of the Lovecraftian god the King of Tears.

Gaining powers that allowed him to phase through matter, teleport, and kill with a look of his unmasked face, Johnny Sorrow is one of the Justice Society's deadliest foes. He luxuriates in his evil, living for the thrill of killing and conquest.

9 Mordru Is A Millennial Monster

Mordru is a Lord of Chaos, a being of powerful magic. His entire existence has been about fomenting evil and chaos and his massive power level has made that rather easy. Whether it be battling the Justice Society or the Justice League Dark or bedeviling the Legion of Superheroes in the far future, Mordru is monster.

Mordru has existed for countless years and no one can point to any action of his that has ever benefited another. Mordru exists for one purpose and one purpose alone: to sow chaos and gain ever more power.

8 The Upside-Down Man Is A Horror From Beyond

The Otherkin are terrifying monsters, beings that exist to do little more than devour magic and then everything else in existence. Their leader is the Upside-Down Man, a being of power and cunning whose entire interaction with the physical world was to set the magical powers of the Earth against one another and devour whatever was left.

Few beings are as irredeemable as the Upside-Down Man. His entire existence is hunger and he has no other purpose. All of his actions are calculated to allow him and the Otherkin their feast and anything that doesn't serve that hunger is just more food.

7 Despero Is An Alien Despot Who Doesn't Believe In Mercy

Despero comes to the Arrowverse in The Flash.

Despero has long been one of the Justice League's most dangerous foes. A powerful telepath, the alien despot tried to use his mental might and cunning to defeat the League but was always defeated. Despero would eventually return, now a titan of physical and mental might, renewing his attacks and working to destroy the League.

Despero's only wish is conquest and he stops at nothing to achieve it. He asks no quarter and gives none and has only become more savage as the years have gone on. To Despero, only one thing matters and that's winning.

6 Trigon Is A Brutal Demonic Dictator

Trigon DC Comics

Trigon is pure evil and there's no doubting it. As one of the Teen Titans' most deadly foes, Trigon has been trying to take over the world for ages. His single-minded pursuit of his daughter Raven, coveting her power, shows that even the bonds of family mean nothing to him, as he cares only for the power and destruction he can wreak with that power.

Trigon exists in a hellish realm of torment and he desires to transform everything in the universe to something like his home. His only concern is the burning down of reality and he'll stop at nothing to get there.

5 The Demons Three Live To Spread Chaos, Strife, And Pain

The Demons Three

The Demons Three- Abnegazar, Rath, and Ghast- have been battling the Justice League for years. The former rulers of the galaxy, they were banished a billion years ago by the Timeless Ones but returned, ready to take their place at the head of things. The Justice League has always been there to stop them, foiling their schemes and driving them off.

The Demons Three were legendary tyrants and their dark desires have kept them from doing anything to help others. They are powerful monsters and nothing will sway them but to return to their old place, lording over all of creation.

4 The Batman Who Laughs' Whole Life Was Spreading Death And Chaos

dc the batman who laughs

The Batman Who Laughs quickly took his place among the most savage beings in the DC Multiverse. Once Batman but twisted forever by a powerful Joker toxin, the Batman Who Laughs abandoned his life as a hero for one as a monster, slaughtering all of the heroes on his world before joining with the dark god Barbatos.

The Batman Who Laughs would cut a bloody swath through the DC Universe, trying to destroy everything he saw. Throughout his twisted existence, all he did was try to destroy more and more of everything, eventually trying to remake the multiverse in his image.

3 Reverse Flash's Life Is All About One Thing

Eobard Thawne became obsessed with Barry Allen in the 25th Century. Putting himself through risky and terrible surgeries, he gained the powers of his idol and began his terrible rampage through time as the Reverse Flash. Reverse Flash's life has been about tormenting Barry Allen ever since and manipulating his personal timeline to make that easier.

Reverse Flash was never a good person, even as a child. Once he embraced his inner evil, nothing could stop him or save him because all he desired was to bring pain and torment to the object of his obsession.

2 Joker Is A True Psychopath

The Joker in his iconic purple and green suit

The Joker is the most dangerous criminal in Gotham City, perhaps the world. His monstrous schemes have almost destroyed the city and it's that sort of carnage and chaos that puts the smile on his face. The Joker is a terrible monster, a man who embraced the chaos inside his mind and desires nothing more than to spread it to the world.

The Joker stopped taking any pleasure from anything that normal people do a long time ago. Altruism is a foreign concept to him and he lives for death and destruction.

1 Darkseid Is The Embodiment Of Evil

Darkseid Infinite Frontier

Darkseid is one of the greatest villains in the DC Universe, if not the greatest. He is the God of Evil, the tiger force at the center of all things. Nothing he has ever done can be considered good, as it all served the power and glory of Darkseid. For example, in the story Cosmic Odyssey, he teamed with the heroes to stop the sentient Anti-Life Equation but did nothing to actually help them, just working to position himself to take its power.

Nothing Darkseid does is ever good. He has no conception of purity or goodness; every action is yet another action to put Darkseid on top and everyone else beneath him. Even any good he accidentally does serves the greater purpose of making Darkseid the lord of all.
