Denver Beer Co. regularly has food trucks parked outside its taproom on Platte Street offering drinkers a beer sponge to go with their pint. But this week, the brewery is debuting an original restaurant on wheels called DBC Eats that will remain parked by the patio on weekends.
DBC Eats food truck will sell a menu of what the company calls “approachable, beer-centric fare to include elevated comfort foods as well as healthy and vegetarian options,” according to a statement. The mobile kitchen is an extension of the one at Denver Beer Co.’s South Downing Street location, which serves buffalo cauliflower, pork green chile-loaded fries, wings and blistered shishito peppers. On Fridays, the food truck will offer a beer and taco special.
“We’ve always known that a food truck is a great addition to a brewery patio, it has been part of our customer experience from day one,” said Charlie Berger, brewery co-founder, in a statement. “Creating our own culinary program is a natural next step in the process.”
The food truck will serve lunch and dinner Thursdays through Sundays year-round, and the brewery will still feature a rotating schedule of guest food trucks other days of the week.
DBC Eats is the latest food-focused venture from Denver Beer Co. In July, the company opened Yum Yum’s, a little ice cream shop next door to the brewery’s South Downing Street location.
