When NBC recently revived the TV quiz show The Weakest Link, they put Jane Lynch at the helm. While Jane has undoubtedly done well in her new role as host, some have found themselves wondering about the show's original host, Anne Robinson.

As fans of the original Weakest Link can remember, Anne was known for her sassy put downs, harsh clap backs, and witty sarcasm on the show. She also famously coined the phrase "You are the weakest link, goodbye!"

Apart from being the host of the U.S. version of The Weakest Link, which aired between 2001 and 2002, she also ran the original U.K.-based game show. When The Weakest Link in the U.S. was canceled in 2002, Anne continued to host across the pond until retiring in 2012.

"If there's anything about longevity in television, it's about knowing what to take and what to turn down, and what to stop," she told BBC News when stepping down. "It's often about what not to do any more."

What happened to Anne Robinson and where is she now?

The Weakest Link was only one chapter of Anne's career as a TV presenter. While continuing to present the TV documentary series Watchdog in the U.K., the 76-year-old went on to appear on other shows, including Test The Nation and What's the Problem? With Anne Robinson. What's more, Anne tried her hand at acting, appearing as Anne Droid in Doctor Who in 2005.

Anne was also a cohost on the British talk show Loose Women until 2009. That same year, she also started presenting The One Show and continued to do so for nine years.

Needless to say, she had no trouble finding gigs after The Weakest Link came to an end in the States. In the past two years or so, however, she has kept a relatively low profile and, according to her IMDB, hasn't participated in any large TV projects.
