LONDON: When lockdown hit Britain in March 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold, London’s restaurateurs closed their doors, not knowing what the future might hold.
After 14 months of limited reopenings and further closures, the capital’s restaurants are set to start normal service very soon.
There’s a lot of optimism out there, even though nobody is really sure what the future might bring.
In this short documentary, the first in a new series of Citywire Original documentaries, we speak to people from across the industry to see what happens next in the world’s best dining city, and what lessons there might be for the industry in the rest of the world.
