Shares in Pure Gold Mining Inc. rose Tuesday after the company said that it has achieved commercial production.
The owner of the PureGold mine in Ontario said the site is operating in line with or rapidly approaching design capacity of 800 metric tons of ore a day.
"Commercial production is a significant milestone and marks the beginning of a very exciting growth phase for the company," President and Chief Executive Darin Labrenz said.
Shares at 0719 GMT were up 7.00 pence, or 9.5%, at 81.00 pence.
