Buffy the Vampire Slayer is soon set to return for another adventure with a twist.
Several original cast members are signed up to tell a new story from the Buffyverse, this time in an audio format.
Set 20 years on from the show’s dramatic finale at Sunnydale’s Hellmouth, Audible’s Slayers: A Buffyverse Story will follow the antics of everyone’s favourite bleach blonde vampire: Spike.

James Marsters will be leading the production as he reprises the role of Spike, but he’s not the only Buffy cast member making a comeback.
Anthony Head (Giles), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Amber Benson (Tara), James Charles Leary (Clem), and Danny Strong (Jonathan) are all set to return.
The audio series will also welcome Buffyverse newcomer Laya DeLeon Hayes as she takes on the role of a new Slayer.

Enthusing about his upcoming return as Spike, Marsters teased ahead to what fans can expect.
"I'm ecstatic to be back with my dear friends for this next chapter in the Buffyverse, as we take listeners on a familiar but unexpected journey chock full of horror, passion and mischief," he said. "I'm excited for old and new fans to experience this beloved world of vampire slaying like never before, brought to life through immersive audio storytelling."

Slayers will see Spike delve deep undercover as he attempts to convince a collection of enemies he’s returned to his evil ways.
However, his cover is soon compromised when he crosses paths with a fresh-faced 16-year-old Slayer.
While searching for an expert Watcher who can guide the teen girl, Spike encounters a veteran Slayer from a parallel reality where Buffy Summers never existed – and where Drusilla is the Big Bad.
Slayers: A Buffyverse Story premieres on October 12 on Audible.
