Goose Kick Off Rescheduled Halloween Run With Original Debuts and Run-DMC Cover - jambands.com

After being forced to postpone their Halloween run at South Farms, Goose kicked off the rescheduled run in Morris, Conn. last night. The show contained multiple Goose debuts, both of originals and of songs the musicians had played in previous bands. In addition, they closed out the show with a performance of Run-DMC’s “Ghostbusters Rap.

The show kicked off with a debut of a new original, titled “Lily’s Tiger.” Next came “Butter Rum,” followed by “The Whales.” After “It Burns Within,” which hadn’t been played since 2014, the band jammed out a sequence of “All I Need” into “Secret Agent Man.” The set closed with “Into The Myst.”

For set two, the band opted for “Empress of Organos,” a song never before played by Goose. However, the song was previously performed by Vasudo, a band that included Goose members Rick Mitarotonda (guitar), Ben Atkind (drums) and Trevor Weekz (bass). After a cover of The Band’s “Don’t Do It,” Goose moved between “Creatures” and “Honeybee.” Later in the set, they debuted another new song, “Earthling or Alien?” Finally, the show closed with a pairing of “Yeti” and “Ghostbusters Rap.”
