British all-terrain performance-vehicle producer has secured a licensing agreement with Land Rover to build modern versions of the original Defender 110 station wagon.

Operating under the codename “CSP 575,” Bowler and Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations will co-develop the vehicles to be built on Bowler’s steel chassis and powered by Land Rover’s 575-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. The vehicles will seat 4 occupants and offer such creature comforts as air conditioning, the partners said in their announcement.

Pricing for the new Defender 110 will start at £200,000 ($262,000). The first vehicles are planned for 2021 delivery.

Bowler was founded in 1985 and recently has been working with Land Rover SVO on vehicle and parts development.
