The faith-based indie studio has started production on 'God's Not Dead: We the People,' with Isaiah Washington and David A.R. White in lead roles.
Pure Flix Entertainment, the faith-based film studio behind the God's Not Dead franchise, has changed its corporate name to Pinnacle Peak Pictures.
The move follows Sony Pictures Entertainment subsidiary AFFIRM Entertainment acquiring the Pure Flix subscription VOD service in November. That deal left Pure Flix Entertainment operating as a separate company, along with the indie studio's God's Not Dead trilogy.
And newly-named Pinnacle Peak has started production on God's Not Dead: We The People, the fourth installment of the franchise, with Isaiah Washington, David A.R. White and William Forsythe as leads from a script by Tommy Blaze.
The film centers on Reverend Dave (David A.R. White) who has to defend himself and a group of Christian homeschooling families after an inspection by a local government official.
The ensemble cast also includes Antonio Sabato Jr., Judge Jeanine Pirro and Francesca Battistelli. God's Not Dead: We the People is directed by Vance Null and written by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman.
A fall 2021 theatrical release is planned. The God's Not Dead franchise has grossed over $100 million worldwide to date.
