Pure Gold Mining Inc. said Tuesday that production is expected to continue at a slightly reduced rate at its PureGold Mine in Canada after an outbreak of Covid-19 among staff.
The company said administrative staff are working remotely where possible, and other on-site staff have been reduced to essential workers only for a temporary period at the mine after it saw an increase in positive Covid-19 cases.
Any impact on monthly or quarterly production isn't yet known, though the company expects to make up any production shortfall after it returns to full production, it said.
The situation will continue to be monitored closely and any updates will be provided as necessary, the company said.
