Director of original Super Mario RPG says he's very surprised and pleased with the news - My Nintendo News

Chihiro Fujioka, the director of the original Super Mario RPG on the Super Nintendo and the head honcho for the now defunct Mario and Luigi studio, AlphaDream, has taken to Twitter to inform fans that no, he is not involved with the remake. Even though Mr. Fujioka is not involved in development of the game, he says that he is “very surprised” that the remake was in the works and that he is looking forward to getting his hands on it in 17th November.

I am not involved in the remake.
But I am very surprised and pleased with the news!
