Melissa Rauch Says Set Pieces from Original 'Night Court' Give Her a 'Nostalgic Heart Zing' - PEOPLE

One of Melissa Rauch's favorite parts of starring as Judge Abby Stone on NBC's reboot of Night Court is being surrounded by nostalgia.

"And nostalgia that the '90s kid version of me would've lost her mind over," the actress, 43, tells PEOPLE for this week's issue. Set pieces such as the couch in the judge's chambers and the chairs in the cafeteria "are from the original [set]. So every time I sit on them or walk into the courtroom — which was an exact recreation from the plans of the original — I get a little nostalgic heart zing."

The Big Bang Theory alum, who plays the daughter of previous judge Harry T. Stone and resides in his stead, spoke to the magazine for One Last Thing.

Last perfect day off
You can’t beat a day totally in my PJs snuggling on the couch with my family, watching movies. And only changing out of said PJs into a fresh pair for bed.

Last time I felt like a kid
One of the benefits of being under 5 ft. tall is that I still fit on kids’ rides. So not too long ago I was able to go on an amusement park car ride meant for toddlers. I had the time of my life.

I am obsessed with my memory foam orthopedic pillow. Do I sound like I’m 900 years old? It’s the greatest.

Last thing I learned about myself
I am a chronic apologizer. Someone recently said, “Don’t say you’re sorry for that, no need,” to which I said, “Oh, OK, you’re right, sorry!” Then I apologized again for saying “sorry.”
