With a mantra of "Building healthier communities around the globe," Pure Green is opening 30 corporate and franchise stores this year in Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City. After managing to keep all locations operating while headquartered in NYC, the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pure Green founder and CEO Ross Franklin is focused on growing the brand.
"No one anticipated the impact that COVID-19 would have on the restaurant industry in 2020," Franklin said in a company press release. "With many businesses being forced to close their doors, we were fortunate enough to not only weather the storm, but undergo tremendous expansion with the support of industry partners, angel investors and fans."
In February of 2020, Pure Green launched a crowdfunding with Republic.co, raising just over $1 million in financial support during the pandemic. Thanks to the brand's sustainable business model and product offerings, Ross said new franchisees are opting to launch multiple locations in new markets across the U.S.
Founded in 2014, Pure Green's menu includes immunity-boosting cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, superfood smoothies, acai and pitaya bowls. It has gained a following over the last six years, including professional athletes and celebrities, such as television personality and food influencer, Jonathan Cheban, known in the culinary world as Foodgod.
Pure Green Atlanta will open this summer, followed by two locations in Chicago and another in Boca Raton, Florida. Two others will follow in Brooklyn along with stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan, according to the release.
