WESTLAKE, Ohio – The Original Popcorn House’s first location in Ohio is set to open in Crocker Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19.
The store sells a bit more than just old traditional buttered corn (though it has that, too). It offers more than 60 flavor combinations, including maple bacon and dark chocolate caramel sea salt popcorn, dill pickle and peanut butter chocolate drizzle. It also has weekly featured flavors.
All of the shop’s kernels are popped in small batches to ensure freshness, a rep for Crocker Park said, and the store uses 100% pure coconut oil, white and cheddar cheeses and Belgian chocolate.
Crocker Park will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, June 24. The Original Popcorn House is at 24 Main Street, next to Jos. A Bank.
It’s the store’s fifth location in five states. Others are in Delray Beach, Florida; Erie, Pennsylvania; Frederick, Maryland; and Mall of America, Bloomington, Minnesota.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
