The 7th annual Pure International Conference will be taking place virtually this year and will feature sessions that cover a wide array of topics related to Research Information Management Systems (RIMS).
The first Pure International Conference took place in Amsterdam in 2015. Since then it has been held in cities across Europe and the United States, and most recently online. The Conference brings a wide range of users together to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices regarding the representation, presentation and use of data relating to scholarly activity.
To accommodate the breadth of our global user community and to best support participation in different time zones, we will host two separate conferences, both of which are free to attend:
November 9-11: Americas, Europe and Africa
Daily:
- 8:30am – 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- 2:30pm – 6:00pm Central European Time (CET)
November 16-18: Asia-Pacific
Daily:
- 1.00pm – 4.30pm Hong Kong Time (HKT) and Singapore Time (SGT)
- 3.00pm – 6.30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
By attending, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Get inspired by your peers who will share their learnings to give you fresh insights and ideas
- Engage with global Pure users and expand your network beyond your local user group
- Meet the Pure team to provide your feedback about the product, services and community, as well as learn what we have planned for 2022.

The Call for Proposals will open shortly.
We invite session about, but not limited to:
- Utilizing RIM/CRIS ecosystems to support the principles of Open Science
- Research impact and outcomes
- Partnership and innovation (Industry and academia)
- Data interoperability
- Reporting and compliances
- Funding workflows
- Knowledge exchange
- Pure in the cloud – hosting, security and storage
The format of sessions at the virtual conference can be:
- Live Presentation (30 minutes)
- Panel Discussion (40 minutes)
- Poster Session (10 minutes)
There is no fee charged for the Conference.
Submission guidelines
The proposal should be a short summary of the session you want to present at conference, and will provide information to help delegates choose which sessions to attend.
The proposal submission process is through an online portal. During the submission process, please indicate which conference you wish to participate in — either the conference taking place on November 9- 11 or November 16-18. We welcome and encourage your participation in both conferences, if possible.
Terms and Conditions:
- The proposals submitted is in English.
- The text of the proposals along with the names and affiliations, poster, PowerPoint presentations and/or additional documents will be published on the conference website and this will not raise any copyright issues.
- The content review committee reserves the right to ask presenters to change presentation type in order to create a more cohesive conference programme.
- Presenters will be recorded for live streaming. A recording of the presentation and a copy of the slides will be published online and distributed to registered delegates.
- It is the responsibility of the main presenter to submit the proposal. They are the main contact with responsibility to communicate with other co-authors and ensure they are all registered in order to be included in the programme.
- All presenters must clearly indicate which virtual conference they wish to participate in — otherwise, we will assume your participation will include both November virtual sessions.
