Juno Temple’s upbringing was far from ordinary.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, the Ted Lasso star, 34, revealed that she grew up in the original Michael Myers house from the Halloween movie.
Temple’s comments came as she opened up about spending some of her childhood in Los Angeles.
“So my parents were living out here and I was born actually in the U.K., but then I came back here until I was about 5,” said the actress. “And I actually grew up in, this is an interesting place to grow up, my parents bought a house without realizing until Halloween came around and there was a tour bus that it was the original Michael Myers house from the Halloween movie!”
As the audience laughed at the revelation, Temple also giggled and nodded, “Oh yeah!”
Host Jimmy Kimmel, 56, then asked Temple if she had any idea what that meant at the time, to which she replied with a head shake, “I was 5.”
This led Kimmel to joke about how realtors are supposed to disclose if there has been a murder in the home “even if it’s fictional.”
Temple then shared a funny moment that happened one Halloween when the tour bus came past their house.
“Apparently there was a moment where I was outside on a swing, probably playing with Barbies and fairies, and I have naturally very curly hair and the tour bus was like, ‘Oh my God it’s Shirley Temple!’ and I turned around and was like, ‘No! I’m Juno Temple!’" revealed the star.
“And wasn’t Shirley Temple around 67 at that time?” laughed Kimmel, adding that the story was “pretty crazy.” “And that tour bus operator confused you?”
The house used as the masked serial killer’s home in the movie is located on Mission Street in South Pasadena, California. In the opening sequence of the film, a young Michael Myers (Will Sandin) murders his older sister Judith (Sandy Johnson) in an upstairs bedroom of the property.
The original Halloween movie was released in 1978 and starred Nick Castle as Michael Myers and Jamie Lee Curtis as high school student Laurie Strode.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards also starred in the slasher as Lindsey Wallace.
