FULTON MARKET — Time Out Market is reopening this week with fewer vendors after the coronavirus pandemic forced it to close.
The massive food hall will reopen 4 p.m. Wednesday with eight returning food vendors at 916 W. Fulton Market St.
Arami, Chef Bill Kim, Chef Brian Fisher, Dos Urban Cantina, Duck Inn Dogs, Lost Larson, Mini Mott and Pretty Cool Ice Cream will be among the “first wave” of vendors to return to the 53,000-square-foot space, company officials announced in a press release.
The first-floor bar and Tony’s Rooftop Bar will also reopen.
“Time Out Market Chicago is reopening with a limited lineup in order to provide adequate social distancing for both guests and chefs/restaurants,” a spokeswoman said in an email.

Several of the 18 vendors who launched stalls at the highly anticipated food hall in November are not returning right away. Jimmy Bannos Jr. of Purple Pig, embattled chef Abe Conlon of Fat Rice, Thai Dang of HaiSous, John Manion of El Che Steakhouse, Band of Bohemia, Zoe Schor of Split-Rail and Erick Williams of Virtue were not included.
In March, Time Out Market closed the food hall ahead of the stay at home order.
CEO Didier Souillat said the reopening was done with “the utmost care and collaboration.”
In addition to extending outdoor seating on the first floor and rooftop, the company is implementing safety precautions, like putting up plexiglass partitions at counters and at tables. All staff will use personal protective equipment and extra cleaning staff has been hired to sanitize the space, the team said.
The market will add more vendors in coming weeks, according to the Tribune.
