Five-year-old Lucy Rose Donmoyer has been in and out of the hospital for over a year battling an aggressive form of neuroblastoma, a very rare type of cancerous tumor that almost always affects children.
Action News Jax first told you about Lucy in May, 2020 after her family received her cancer diagnosis and have been following her treatment journey ever since; a journey that’s included three cycles of chemotherapy, and most recently, a stem cell transplant requiring a 22-day hospital stay.
Today, Lucy’s parents shared an original song (soon to be hit single!) written and performed by their Lucy Rose called ‘CANCER SUCKS’.
Yeah, it totally does Lucy.
Her dad says prior to Lucy’s cancer diagnosis ‘sucks’ was a no-no, but she has now earned the right to use it.
