“Philippe was rescued in Georgia after his original owner brought him to the vet to be euthanized. A local rescue volunteer was at the vet office at the time and convinced the owner to give him up for adoption instead of euthanizing him. Thanks to a wonderful network of rescue volunteers, he made his way to Fairfax, Virginia-based rescue Pets Bring Joy, which is where we met him. He is a wonderful cat, healthy and full of love, and we will never understand why someone wanted to put him to sleep.” — David Lay, downtown Silver Spring
