The Denver Broncos have placed a low tender on restricted free agent Phillip Lindsay, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

After receiving the tender, Lindsay will still be allowed to negotiate and sign offer sheets with other teams. If Lindsay signs an offer sheet with someone else, the Broncos will have the right to match that offer and keep Lindsay. If Denver opts to not match an offer to Lindsay, the new team will be awarded the RB without having to give up any compensation.

Lindsay (5-8, 190 pounds) grew up in the Denver area and played college football at the University of Colorado Boulder before signing with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018.

Lindsay made the Pro Bowl as a rookie after rushing for 1,037 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns. Lindsay rushed for 1,000 yards again in 2019 but he saw his role decline in 2020 after the team signed Melvin Gordon.

Lindsay battled through toe, hip, and knee injuries and suffered a concussion last year. He’ll aim to get healthy this offseason and bounce back in 2021.
