You’ve seen the commercials and so have people from out of state. It’s now been 15 years since the Pure Michigan campaign began, aimed at attracting tourists to the Great Lakes State.
To celebrate the anniversary, you can now buy these limited edition Pure Michigan prints. Travel Michigan, which is part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, has teamed with vintage-inspired travel poster print artist, The Mighty Mitten, to create these prints.
There are six in all at $19.99 each which can be purchased here. They showcase some of Michigan’s most popular destinations: Detroit, Grand Rapids, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pictured Rocks, The Mackinac Bridge and Lake of the Clouds.
There are also other prints available via The Mighty Mitten, but with these six limited edition ones, 10% of profits will be donated to Michigan Cares for Tourism (MC4T) to help restore historic, cultural and natural attractions throughout the state.

“It is important that we preserve and invest in the places that have given so much to us and our visitors,” said Dave Lorenz, Vice President of Travel Michigan. “That is why we are proud to work with organizations like Michigan Cares for Tourism and donate part of these profits to support the significant work they are doing across Michigan to help our people and our historic, cultural, and natural attractions. Pure Michigan would not be the same without the support of individuals and organizations like this working to keep it beautiful.”
Pure Michigan launched in 2006. In 2019, that year alone, the campaign stimulated about 5.8 million visitors to the state, $2.3 billion in new visitor spending and $142 million in statewide taxes.
